SUMMARY:Lemon Grove Community Garden Clean Up
DESCRIPTION:Join the Urban League of San Diego County Guild on Saturday, October 16 from 9AM - 11AM as we help our friends at the Lemon Grove Community Garden with some basic gardening and clean up needs. 
\nWe'll learn about the Lemon Grove Community Garden and learn about the value community gardens provide to neighborhoods that don't have much green space. 
\nThis is also the first event for our Fall 2021 Join Month, so leaders of the ULSDCG will be on hand to talk with you about the work we do, how we strive to serve the community and how we are always looking for willing volunteers.
\nTo ensure that no one gets parched, the kind people at DEEP ROOTED have donated juice for our volunteers. Deep Rooted is a local, Black owned, plant based juice company, that provides a great variety of juices rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and phytochemicals.  (Thank you Deep Rooted!!)
\nThis event is family friendly, so bring the kids and your gardening gloves if you have them!

\nADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

\nSigning of a liability waiver will be required for participation. Waivers will be available for signing on the morning of the event. This liability releases the Lemon Grove Community Garden, the City of Lemon Grove, The Urban League of San Diego County, and the National Urban League of any liability of possible hurt, harm or damage.
\nGardening gloves are suggested but not required for participation.
\nJuice by Deep Rooted will be provided based on availability.
\nWater will be available throughout the event to all participants.
\nA shaded seating area will be provided to all volunteers.
