On behalf of the African American Studies Institute at PGCC and OurSpace World Inc., we wish to invite you to the 2023 Black Food Black Futures Festival from Friday, October 6 (11 am - 4:30 pm) to Saturday, October 7, 2023 (10 am - 6 pm). The primary objectives of our festival are to raise awareness of the food insecurity which exists in Prince George’s County, Maryland, while simultaneously celebrating our rich cultural traditions through food. We wish to do the latter by showcasing the region’s best Black food trucks, vendors, chefs, entertainment, and workshops.

In the week leading up to the festival and during the festival itself, we are also hosting a food drive (non-perishable foods + fresh produce) to be donated to The Capital Area Food Bank and to the PGCC food pantry (Owl Market).

This festival is made possible thanks to support from a Prince George's Community Partnership Grant.
