Event Summary
The Alpha Excel Conference focuses on two of Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity, Incorporated’s National Programs, Project Alpha and Go To High School Go To College.
Project Alpha is a national program designed in partnership with the March of Dimes to accomplish the following objectives:
• Share knowledge by combating ignorance and fear with factual information;
• Change attitudes by providing motivation toward positive changes in sexual behavior;
• Provide skills by creating a sense of empowerment and self-esteem.
Go to High School Go to College is a national program designed to encourage advancement to higher education, encourage academic achievement, and build self-esteem. This program hopes to fulfill the following objectives:
• Improve Self-esteem;
• Encourage participants to complete high school and pursue higher education;
• Increase social awareness and problem-solving skills to make responsible decisions.
