About The Host:
Hello! My name is Candice Milan. I am deeply passionate about the hunger crisis going on right now in Chicago. Parts of Chicago have struggled for years with food deserts. A food desert means that the residents in entire neighborhoods do not have access to grocery stores that sell affordable, nutritious fruits, vegetables, and meats. Our organization, As One We Can Foundation, provides thousands of meals to hundreds of families every week, making sure the kids have access to nutritious meals.
