5000 BLACK: Afro Futurist Art Exhibition Series (Jan. 17th-Feb.2nd) ft. headliner OJ da Juiceman!
5000 BLACK is a continuation of the X000 BLACK series. A series of Afro-Fututurist exhibitions co-hosted by Zania Cummings & Marcus McDonald that have taken place throughout Charleston since 2023.
The theme for 5000 BLACK is Afro-Optimism, paying homage to the legendary Octavia Butler's speculative fiction novel 'Parable of the Sower'.
5000 BLACK is a fundraiser for Fresh Future Farm, a local Black owned urban farm advocating for food justice and providing mutual aid to communities throughout the Charleston Tri-County area.
