Alpha Alpha Lambda Community Development, Inc. (aka "Alpha Community Development Center") is a community development corporation formed in 2017 to enhance, expand and improve our ability to provide community services in Newark by promoting education, voter registration, youth mentorship and economic empowerment. The Alpha Community Center will also provide event space for other community based organizations to use for programmatic and fundraising purposes. Our youth program has achieved excellent results: the students' academic engagement and school performance have improved, they have developed their social, personal, and life skills; they are more motivated for their preent and future lives they have learned to value their lives, and their self-esteem has increased. We need your support to increase our programs to more than 4 of our current schools and to provide grants and other programmatic assistance to the youth we serve.
