Champaign/Urbana Community Day
The men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s Pi Psi Chapter, Sigma Xi Graduate Chapter and the Friends of 1929 Alumni Foundation invite you and the entire campus community to celebrate 95 years of Omega’s presence at the University of Illinois with us during a Day of Thanks honoring Champaign and Urbana’s North End communities.
Join us on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 2 p.m.at Church of the Living God, 312 East Bradley Ave., Champaign, IL 61820 for this historic event featuring historic reflections, gospel music, awards, special guest appearances, food and fellowship.
The event is free to the public, but to ensure proper accommodations we would appreciate if anyone who plans to attend would log into the portal attached to the QR code on the flyer and provide a name and contact email.
We greatly appreciate your support and partnership as we look forward to this opportunity to recognize and celebrate the people and institutions that provided decades of critical support for Black students attending UIUC.
Join Sigma Xi and The Alumni Association of Pi Psi Chapter of The Omega Psi Phi Franternity, Inc. as we provide a token of appreciation to the Champaign and Urbana communities. We will enjoy an afternoon of gospel music and food as a token of thanks for the years of support provided to University of Illinois African American students.
Please bring your new or lightly used winter clothing. The collected clothes will be donated to the Urbana Neighborhood Connection Center.
