Christmas Day is the one day a year where it seems like EVERYTHING is shut down, the streets are empty, the restaurants are closed. It's hard to find a hot meal, a warm room, or a proper good time.
There are way too many of us are without community these holidays. Whether you're a college student stuck on campus with no way to return home or just don't want to go through the usual motions of the holiday that leave you feeling depleted and maybe even a little depressed...
There are "persons without place or people" literally all over the world, in every community. The point of this initiative is that the problem reaches beyond what just one person/event can do but requires a little bit from each of us, everywhere.
We're all we got, let's take care of our own.
