ABOUT GOOD TO GO

Good To Go is a Jamaican Cuisine restaurant that fuses the mouth-watering taste of Caribbean food with

exciting new tropical cocktails and craft beer. Our house specialties include Jerk Chicken, Oxtail, Brown Ste

Chicken, Curry Goat, & Jerk Pork. Our Tropical Cocktails, imported Jamaican beverages, fresh squeezed

vegetable juices and island smoothies complete our island offerings.

Good To Go was established by husband and wife team, Tony and Lenice Levy in 2002. It started as a small

quick service restaurant located on the Chicago side of Howard Street and after 16 years of building a strong

following and dynamic business, they purchased, completely renovated and opened a new location on the

Evanston side of Howard Street in 2018.

Lenice is originally from the south side of Chicago and attended DePaul University where she received her

Baqbelors degree in Marketing. Her 20 plus years in corporate America equipped her with the skills to manage

all of the administrative, HR and corporate aspects of running a successful business. Her passion for

architecture, business development, and property development has been intricate in the design and build of

the new venue which is bursting with design elements that are unique and one of a kind

At the age of 27, Tony Levy, migrated to the United states from Jamaica. Being the eldest of 11 siblings created

many opportunities for him to prepare daily meals alongside his mother. Over the years he developed a strong

passion for cooking and was delighted seeing people enjoy the tasteful entrees he would prepare. His passion

eventually turned into a burning desire to open an establishment to cater to a broader audience. His three

most notable creations include his homemade JERK SAUCE where the recipe originates from his great

grandmother. His all-natural house blended juice titled "STAMINA DADDY. Infused with various ingredients

like oats, okra, green banana, peanuts, tonic and stout, STAMINA DADDY has become a household name for

energy and stamina amongst the male patrons. And, finally the JERK CHICKEN which is the household favorite

by all.
