How long is the class and what time should I arrive?
The class is two hours long with a 10 minute tea break inbetween partners. The event starts promptly on time. Please arrive 10-15 mins before to allow time locating the space and to get situated.
What is the location of the event?
Pay special attention to where each class is held. As we continue our search for a new permanent home for the Couples Massage Workshop we invite everyone to explore new and unique locations all around the Twin Cities with us. We will be holding classes at all sorts of relaxing venues, zen centers and chill spaces wherever they are, so be sure to pay special attention to where each class will be held when purchasing. We will be at the Center for Performng Arts until after the June 2024 class. This sprawling building hosts a diverse mix of artists, classes, performances and live events in sunlit studios rooms and serene spaces. Our classes take place in a room dubbed: The Chapel.
Who is the instructor for the workshop?
TaVanni (TV) Singleton is not only the owner of LiveTV Events, but she also holds a degree in Health Education with a focus in Community Health. TaVanni has been studying and practicing the art of the body massage by exploring all types of massage techniques from Thai massage to reflexology. With the knowledge gained through attending trainings and classes for over 10 years coupled with a background in emergency healthcare and special attention to muscles and stress points, she has carefully created this workshop to teach techniques used to relieve neck & shoulder pain, headaches and stress through massage. TaVanni Singleton is not a licensed massage therapist, but rather an experienced massage enthusiast and educator eager to share healing techniques regular people can do at home.
What items are necessary the event?
Clothes: All attendees must wear clothes at all times. We recommend wearing something that you don't mind getting oil on, although you are welcome to massage without oil. Sleeveless tops (bandeaus, tube tops, tank tops, sports bras, etc) are ideal with something loose and comfortable on the bottom (sweat pants, gym shorts, yoga pants, etc). No nudity is allowed at this event.
Oil: There will also be a variety of massage oils to use including coconut oil, lavender or unscented massage oil. Attendees may bring their own oil if they wish.
Medical conditions or injury
All attendees should consult with their physicians prior to participating in this session. Also, make sure your partner is aware of any sensitive spots on your body due to aliments or injury. All attendees will need to be able to get down to floor level and be able to apply a significant amount of pressure on partners. Attendees will be required to sign a standard waiver before participation. To view the waiver ahead of time, visit the LiveTV Events website at www.tvgo.live/currentevents.
Can I attend if I am pregnant?
Due to massage techniques used in this class, unfortunately, this class is not suited for pregnant people. The American Pregnancy Association says that women can begin massage at any point during a pregnancy. Massage therapy during pregnancy has been shown to provide many benefits, including a sense of wellness, improved relaxation, and better sleep. However, many prenatal massage therapists will not accept clients until the second trimester of pregnancy. Because certain techniques and trigger points in the body can cause contractions, blood clots and premature labor, so seeking expertise is vital. Please consult a licensed pregnancy masseuse for specialized massage methods.
Covid Precautions: Masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer will be available for those who wish to use them.
Parking: Free on street parking outside of CFPA is usually ample.
What's the refund policy? Refunds will be issued upon request for unclaimed tickets. Any attendees unable to attend will be allowed to use this event credit for a future Couples Workshop or event with LiveTV Events. Please contact if you need to reschedule.
What if I can't make any of the class dates? LiveTV Events does private and group classes! Please contact to arrange.
