In alignment with its dedication to community building and workforce development, Leaders established Leaders of the World NFP, a non-profit organization committed to fostering mentorship programs, workforce development, and educational initiatives to inspire and educate our youth.
Event Highlights:
Community Celebration: Leaders 1354 and Adidas unite to commemorate Black History Month, bringing a day of community-centric activities to the forefront.
Basketball Tournament: Led by Coach Mike Powell of Raise the Bar Youth Organization, a co-ed basketball tournament for ages 8-12 engages youth in healthy competition, fostering teamwork and skill development.
Exclusive Giveaway Shootout: Teens can participate in a basketball shootout tournament for a chance to win exclusive giveaways and prizes.
Skills Development: Morning activities focus on honing footwork, ball handling, and agility, creating an engaging and educational environment for participants.
Community Job Fair: Uniting local businesses and organizations, this event provides valuable opportunities for high school community members to explore diverse career paths, establish connections with potential employers, and open doors to their future endeavors.
Workforce Development Programs: Motivational workforce development programs offer valuable insights and resources for personal and professional growth, equipping attendees with the tools for success.
Nutritious Lunches: To bring nutritious lunches to the community, promoting a holistic approach to well-being.
Honoring Veronica Peterson: The day culminates with speeches by Veronica Peterson of Flashhoops, recognizing her exceptional efforts and passion for giving back to the youth. Peterson's commitment includes developing STEM programs to elevate education and serve as a springboard for the future.
Honoring Elijah Maxey: As a Coach, Mentor, and Director of the Chicago Pro-Am, he embodies community leadership. BRǸˆD, his clothing line, reflects powerful messages. The day culminates with a special speech, recognizing Jobba's profound influence and values—partnership, peace, love, and brotherhood. A true beacon of inspiration.

Basketball Tournament Registration:
If you've registered for the basketball tournament, please arrive early for sign-ups. Registration opens at 10:30 AM.
All participants must sign a waiver before participating. A parent or guardian over the age of 18 must be present to sign the waiver for participants under 18.
Practice and gameplay are at your own risk, and we prioritize a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Media Release Agreement:
By participating, you are granting permission for Leaders and Adidas to document the event through photography and videography. These visuals may be used in future promotional items and materials.
Lost or Stolen Items:
Leaders and Adidas are not responsible for lost or stolen items during the event. Please keep personal belongings secure for a worry-free experience.
