For two days, The Witness BCC team and our line-up of dynamic guests will speak to your core concerns. You will connect with like-minded people who share your questions, joys, and hardships.
 
You will encounter dynamic worship, thoughtful presentations, and meaningful conversations that will empower you to experience joy and seek justice. You might walk into the conference bearing the weight of injustice, but you will leave Joy & Justice 2023 refreshed, healed, and carrying a renewed passion for fighting injustice.

The Witness engages issues of religion, race, justice, and culture from an unabashedly black perspective. We aim to encourage, educate, and empower Black Christians by using various forms of media to address our audience’s core concerns. Every day, our podcasts, blog, social media, and events start important conversations that reach thousands of people and influence the Christian social justice sphere.

On Friday, June 23rd, The Witness Foundation will host, The Fellowship: An After Hours Event, starting at 9pm.

This Open Mic fundraising event celebrates the rich community experienced by our 5 national fellows during our inaugural 2021-2023 Witness Fellowship Program. Come experience the beauty of being connected and the brilliance of Black Christian community. If you would like to participate, signups will be available following the purchase of a ticket. Ticket proceeds benefit The Witness Inc's continued work to ensure Black Christians are equipped to flourish.

Enjoy 2 hours of live music, light refreshments, and a special musical guest.

Tickets are $40 per person in advance and $50 at the door.

Refund Policy
We hope that you won't have to cancel your ticket, but we know life happens. If you are not able to attend the conference and need to cancel your ticket, here is the policy.

  • Before May 1, you will get a 100% refund, minus service fees.
  • Between May 1 and June 1, 2023, you will give a 50% refund, minus service fees.
  • After June 1, 2023, there will be no refunds issued.
There will be no exceptions to this refund policy.
Cancellation Policy
If we have to cancel the conference, for any reason, we will return 100% of your ticket price, including the service fee.
Item Transfer Policy
Transfers can be done, if needed. Please contact zennah@thewitnessbcc.com to make any ticket transfers.

There isn’t a conference like Joy and Justice. 

 

Most conferences are either heavily intellectual or heavily inspirational. Joy and Justice 2023 is the perfect combination of both. It’s a space for hope, refreshing, and to honor who God has created you to be. At Joy and Justice 2023, we will equip you to tackle the injustices that try to place Black people in bondage and steal our joy. 

 

For two days, we will gather like family. The Witness BCC team and our line-up of dynamic guests will speak to your core concerns. You will encounter dynamic worship, thoughtful presentations, and meaningful conversations that will empower you to experience joy and seek justice.

Join us at Joy and Justice 2023: Rise Up and Flourish on June 23-24, 2023, in the Chicago South Suburbs.

 

The conference will be held at the historic Lilydale First Baptist Church’s Legacy Campus located at 424 Indianwood Boulevard, Park Forest, Illinois 60466.

 

DAY 1: Friday, June 23, 2023, doors open at 5pm. The conference will begin at 6pm.

DAY 2: Saturday, June 24, 2023, doors open at 8am. The conference begins at 9am.

 

Childcare will be provided upon request for both days.

Regular-priced tickets: $125

At the door: $200

 

Included with your ticket will be a conference re-useable swag bag, conference booklet, 24/7 onsite wifi access, refillable water bottle station access (or bottled water if needed), a light breakfast on Saturday morning, and free parking.
