Cancellation Policy

Greenwood GOLF Charities - Event Cancellation Policy

At Greenwood GOLF League, we prioritize the safety, enjoyment, and fair play of all participants in our league events. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that require the rescheduling or cancellation of matches. As such, we have established a clear policy to handle such situations and ensure transparency and consistency in our decision-making process.

1. Match Rescheduling Criteria: Matches may be rescheduled in the event of adverse weather conditions (e.g., lightning, heavy rain, extreme heat) that pose a risk to the safety of players, spectators, and course staff. Rescheduling may also occur due to unexpected course closures, emergencies, or unforeseen situations beyond the control of the league organizers or participating golf clubs.

2. Communication and Decision Making: The decision to reschedule or cancel a match will be made collaboratively between the league organizers and the hosting golf club's management. In the event of adverse weather conditions, the final decision will be made in accordance with the policies and guidelines of the hosting golf club.

3. Timely Communication: In the case of a match rescheduling, the league organizers will communicate the decision to all participating players and team captains as soon as possible. Notification will be provided via email, text message, or phone call, depending on the urgency of the situation.

4. Consideration of Safety and Fair Play: The safety and well-being of all participants are of utmost importance.
