Join NAPA at M Lounge for a screening and panel discussion of the film Breaking BoundsCome out to watch the groundbreaking film with the NAPA community and stay for an intimate panel discussion with featured actors Kenneth Okolie and Corey Hendrix as well as Executive Producer Lotten Yeaney. Learn more about the film industry and the process it takes to create a film and engage in conversation exploring the movie topics of cultural identity, LGBTQ+ representation & rights, and traditional expectations on love and family from an African perspective. Of course, there will be plenty of time for networking, fellowship, and dialogue. All are welcome!

Drink specials will be available all night with $10 martinis and $8 Tito's cocktails for the first hour, then $10 Tito's cocktails for the rest of the night. Food from Haute Society will also be available for purchase.

Tickets are $10 for NAPA members and $20 for general admission (non-members.)

More About the Film

Directed by Mark Harris, Breaking Bounds tells the story of a young gay man who faces deportation after a shooting incident in Nigeria. If returned to his homeland of Uganda, he faces anti-homosexual persecution. As this is taken to the courts, his Nigerian attorney also finds himself struggling to define his own cultural identity and be able to live the life he chooses with an American girl, regardless of his family's traditional expectations.

The film features Kenneth Okolie, Dawn Halfkenny, Erica Hubbard, and Corey Hendrix of The Bear.
