Poetry empowered me to write, meet and forgive my younger brother, Lemont's killers. Lemont sacrificed his life to save his friend, Kim's life. Poerty saved my life. Through poetry as it connects my son and I. I am seeking to be a better father to my son. My son's poetry helps him process and deal with his life challenges, adversities and to express good times.
