Event Details: 7-Course Dinner with Drinks included

Date: Monday, February 24th

Time: 7:00 pm

Venue: Chez Omar 394 West St, New York, NY

This dinner commemorates the 50-year+ debut of the iconic movie "The Harder They Come," and aims to honor the cinematic legacy of Reggae's historical significance the film offers. The dinner will also pay tribute to the Patty Wars victory in Toronto Canada when it became ok to call "beef patty" Jamaican patties because vendors couldn't use the term "beef patty," and officials threatened fines of $5,000  if the shops didn't comply by changing their menus, packaging and signs.

This is a 7-course dinner, where each dish acts as a narrative thread, weaving together the stories of "The Harder They Come." Talented chefs Lonie Murdock Co-Owner of Miss Likklemore's from Jamaica by way of Toronto Canada and Chef Chrissy owner of Krave New Rochelle from Jamiaca will curate each course, infusing their culinary expertise and creativity to mirror pivotal scenes and events from the movie.

Every dish will be a work of art, on your plate and on your palate. From the first bite, you'll be transported into the world of the film, reliving key moments and experiencing the characters' journeys through a culinary lens.

As the characters evolve, so does the food. Each course will symbolize their progression, aspirations, and triumphs, offering a deeper understanding of their motivations and struggles. Through this dinner, you'll find yourself in the heart of Jamaican culture, surrounded by the rhythms of Reggae music, and captivated by the stories unfolding on your plate.
