Event Details

The 2023 Legacy Award Winners / Nominee - Cherill Hutchinson, Francesca Pinamang & Rena Kydd-Williams, have teamed up to bring the Redbridge Community a day of Education, Healing and Information.

A day full of edutainment including Activies, Talks, Film screening + Focus group, Business Coaching, Local Black Businesses and much more!

Come and experiance a safe space where individuals can engauge in healing & educative communication. This programme is designed for sharing life experiances, fostering emotional support, inspiration and building bonds within the community.  

The main themes will be facilitated by - 

* R Consultancy (Rena Kydd-Williams) will offer the Education Theme with the screening of The Return of The Mighty Ruler Sound System Documentary. A moving tribute to Late "Count Rob" whos iconic sound played in dances accross London. On his passing his sound was found in a house clearance and restored by some of the leading Engineers of Passa Productions, including Gemi Magic and Soca Sagaboys. 

A 20 minute documentory followed by a short focus group session - this is where you get the chance to influence the final edit. The first screening in Hackney was a sold out event! 

 

* The Healing Table (Francesca Pinamang) will use her dynamic dialectic conversation to explore what healing means to a community and the importance of communty connection. 

 

*Black Woman Kindness Initiative (Cherill Hutchinson) will focus on Black Women in Business- an inspirational conversation on her journey including why she started, her achivements, lessons learned along the way and future objectives.

 

In between each session will be guest speakers, such as Shanelle Johnson ex Indipendant candidate for Redbridge, time to browse, network and support the local vendors all under the umbrella of community spirit.

 

Light refreshments wil be on sale, while there will be complimentory tea / coffee.

 

This project is self funded by the hosts Cherill, Francesca & Rena with special thanks to the speakers who are donating their time and Redbridge Library who has donated the space in kind.
