Though the future may feel uncertain, our roles and responsibilities as members of the Black community remain vital. What may seem like steps backward could actually be the foundation for powerful forward movement. So, where do we go from here? Join us for a candid and thought-provoking conversation that delves into the historical context of the Black experience, its impact on our present-day realities, and actionable strategies for fostering change and prioritizing wellness.
Black Open Space (B.O.S.) is a curated safe space for Black people to come together to discuss, release, and heal in the face of racism and violence. In honor of Black History Month, this event is in collaboration with On the Hunt Consulting, LLC, a grassroots organization that believes underrepresented communities deserve to have their voices heard and be included in community development and engagement.
Attendees will be guided through an open discussion with licensed mental health professionals to help everyone engage in meaningful dialogue. Participants will fellowship with and develop a trusted support system of like-minded peers. Community resources will be provided to continue the healing and connection, as well as ways to activate change within the community. Non-alcoholic beverages and light refreshments will be served throughout the event.
