Event Summary

Beck&Call Hospitality in collaboration with Gold Was Made Fa Her is pleased to host this Juneteenth event honoring Mr. Ray Carrington. Carrington has served as the photography teacher at Jack Yates High School for 28 years and recently announced his retirement with 2021-2022 being his last year with the program. Over the years, Mr. Carrington has taught several students in the School of Communications and created several opportunities for students to learn about the world of photography. His partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts Houston to create the Eye On Third Ward yearly exhibit not only gave the school great notoriety but provided a sense of community for Third Ward and students much confidence in their work.

Join us as we celebrate Mr. Carrington’s work “Through A Cultural Lens” for Juneteenth!

This event will be held at Theory Studios from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Admission is free, please RSVP.
