UIU Dallas Community Service: Special Olympics
Cedar Hill High School, Cedar Hill, TX
Come out and enjoy a day full of fun events at the Greater Dallas Special Olympics!
In line with our quarterly theme “Investing in Our Future”, we're thrilled to announce our collaboration with the Greater Dallas Special Olympics. The mission of the Special Olympics is to offer year-round sports training and athletic competition in various Olympic-style sports to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Through this initiative, participants are empowered to enhance their physical fitness, showcase courage, find joy, and foster friendships within their families and the wider Special Olympics community.
We invite you to be a part of this transformative event by volunteering for one of three shifts available between 11:30 AM and 5:00 PM on Saturday April 27th. As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the success of the event while enjoying the camaraderie and excitement of the day. To keep our volunteers energized and hydrated throughout the outdoor activities, lunch, snacks, and water will be provided.
Please connect with Kortnee Ogbuefi (Community Service Chair) if you have questions.
