What others are saying
If you are looking for an informative tour that is entertaining and upbeat, you will not go wrong with Key2MIA. Keymia was a pleasure from start to finish. As a local, I honestly did not think I would learn many new details about Miami, but I was wrong. I was amazed at some of the details and gems that Keymia shared and was eager to learn more. The final stop for lunch was the icing on the cake.
Where do I start? Keymia was an AMAZING tour guide who took us on a journey of the roots and origination of Overtown. Her personality is warm and inviting. I have come to Miami several times before this visit, but this one will forever be memorable because of this thoughtfully curated tour. From the cornbread ice cream, to the delicious soul food meal end cap, this tour was simply divine. I highly recommend!
I did The Cookout: Melanin Miami Extended Tour and it was was fantastic!!! Keymia is well versed in Miami’s Black history and the tour was fun and engaging! She also throws in some nice surprises too. My favorite parts were the trip to the first Black beach, Virginia Key Beach, and the lunch at the soul food restaurant. This tour is MORE than worth it! You won’t be disappointed!! Book it!!

Colorado Springs Black Connections presents.....TRAP VS. R&B BINGO! It was so nice, we have to do it twice!! If you missed out on our last sold out event, here's your chance to come brunch and bingo with us.
Over the years, the game of Bingo has been described as a mellow activity that can occur weekly in a bingo hall, an intense engagement at a casino or as an easy game for kids to grasp onto. However, Trap Bingo relates to none of these categories.
Trap Bingo is a way of listening to popular, urban music, dancing to the tunes, and still remaining competitive. The Bingo cards are filled with a variety of artists and the music is played by a DJ. If the DJ plays a song by an artist on your card, the card gets marked.
Make sure to bring your A-game and music knowledge!

Most people think that generational wealth is going to be the game changer for Black entrepreneurs and their families. The truth is, our high-networth (HNW) and ultra high-networth (UHNW) counterparts are not focused on transferring financial wealth to the next generation—they are building entrepreneurial dynasties.
They are building dynasties that focus on transferring FIVE forms of wealth in FOUR different directions for THREE consecutive generations.
It's time for Black families to learn how we can do the same!

Most of the original brick remains in the column-free event hall, as do the detailed truss ceiling and 20-foot clerestory windows. Skylights run the length of the building and bathe the space in natural light, accentuating the intricate iron trusses and exposed brick original to the structure. The open hall brings in classical and neoclassical design elements that emulate those of historic city halls in Chicago and across America.
Refined finishes such as laser-cut art deco steel panels and a 37-foot marble bar flanked by fluted columns dazzle, while a newly built brick second floor, complete with wedding suite, overlooks the space. The building’s industrial character is preserved with touch points inspired by historic municipal buildings, while classic details and finishes, including custom chandeliers, enhance the space’s timeless aesthetic.
