2024 Black Legal Summit: Relax. Relate. Release.

Please join us for the 2024 Black Legal Summit! This year's theme is Relax, Relate, Release: The Progression of Black Excellence. The Black Legal Summit is an annual event put on by the Glenn T. Johnson Chapter of the National Black Law Student's Association, made up of law students at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. The summit is open to attorneys, paralegals, judges, law students, and undergraduate students who are thinking about going to law school, and will be taking place Saturday February 17th from 9am until 3pm at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP located at 320 S. Canal St. Suite 3300 Chicago, IL 60606.

Relax. Relate. Release: The progression of Black Excellence. The journey of a Black attorney is not easy and can make us feel defeated. But we must not give up. We are here for a reason. So relax. Everything is going to be okay. We can lean on each because we relate to what it feels like trying to navigate through the legal world. Release any negativity because YOUR TIME IS NOW! It’s a process and we’re all going to get to the other side.
