Calling all black professionals in Chicago. What better way to meet black professionals “off shift” than coming together all while kicking off Chicago Black Restaurant Week! We will be celebrating the season love by kicking off this vibe by inviting all professionals in medicine, law, finance, tech, engineering, film, policy, education, etc… this is where you can link up with other black professionals that just get it! There will be a lot of mixing and mingling with Valentine’s Day themed interactive games & get to know each other activities. Who knows, you might just meet your next boo or new bestie! 

Event details: $30/ ticket includes:

Event Details

This sophisticated and stylish event aims to bring together black professionals during Black History Month. Chicago has been recognized as one of America’s best cities for Black professionals. We are excited to highlight black businesses and promote Black Restaurant Week with the kickoff event, hosted by Kamilah Evans, M.D. and Annie Grother MD/ MPH in support of the Shop Docs

Attire: 
Cocktail attire, happy hour, dress to impress for mixing and mingling

Parking: 

There is street parking available. You can pay the street meter via the Park Chicago app. For two hours it’s $9.50. The valet parking is $18, and there are no-validation parking garages down the street. The estimated cost is $37- 50.

Dr. Annette Grother is finishing up her last year of PM&R residency where she will continue her training as a Pain fellow specialist. She is the founder & CEO of “The Shop Docs” a 501c3 volunteer based organization that partners with barbers to combat the health disparities that affect our minority communities. We are changing the delivery of healthcare by bringing health information and resources to the community via the barbershop.

Chicago Black Restaurant Week lasts from February 11th- February 25th, 2024. Chicago BLACK Restaurant Week, founded in September 2015 by Lauran was designed as a way to celebrate food/beverage/dessert businesses in the Black community.
