This walk is the first of many community engagement opportunities around Equiticity's Go Hub Bronzeville project. We want to learn from you how you feel about transportation options in Bronzeville and what improvements you think are needed. You will learn more about Equiticity, our partners, and how we want YOU involved in this project.
This walk we will start and end at the Bronzewood Gathering Space on 39th and Lake Shore Drive
(the grass area next to the south ramp of 39th and lake shore drive before you cross bridge to get to the lake). We will stop at Mandrake Park, Light of Truth - Ida B Wells Monument, Mariano's murals, Southside Community Art Center, and Stateway Park. We will discuss the history of these places and different ways for us to uphold the legacies of these phenomenal people.
Everyone is expected to behave safely and respectfully throughout the event. This is a peaceful, uplifting, community building event.
