What happens at a salon?
We’ll enjoy drinks, light bites, and a tour through a selection of talented Chicago artists and their current projects.

What is Not Just Another Pretty Face?
You will have the opportunity to commission a work of art, to add to or begin your own collection of artists who are living and working in Chicago today. Through your participation, you will support both the artist and the Hyde Park Art Center.This is the ninth iteration of the project and will culminate in an unveiling event in September 2023, an exhibition in the Art Center’s main gallery, and a catalog documenting the work.

Not Just Another Pretty Face stimulates and sustains the visual arts in Chicago by:

• activating local collectors to invest in local artists
• developing new supporters and collectors of contemporary art
• building lasting relationships between collectors and artists that will create a new base of support of Chicago’s cultural vitality.
