Celebrating the classy and sophisticated styles that grace the pews and aisles of churches throughout South Florida weekly. Friendship that Gives presents the Empowerment Fashion Show 2024 benefitting Sickle Cell Anemia Research. September is designated as Sickle Cell Anemia Awareness Month and the event seeks to inform and educate the community about this genetic blood disorder that is a hotspot in South Florida. Fashion in the church and beyond is often seen but not highlighted, so on Saturday, September 14, 2024, the spotlight will be placed on "Sunday Best" outfits. Featured on the runway will be Menswear from Celebrity fashion designer, Miguel Wilson. The award winning men's designer will showcase select pieces from his Wedding and Lifestyle Collection comprised of suits, sport coats, bowties, braces, ascots and neckties. J. Del Olmo's Bridal Collections will also be featured for brides and grooms making plans for their special day! Also on exhibit, will be the trendy creative fashions of the students from the "award winning" Arthur and Polly Mays Conservatory of the Arts. Come experience a day of Fashion, Culture and Chic Sophistication!
