Join us on Saturday July 27 at 12 at the annual Igbo Festival, hosted by the IAC. This event features a grand cultural showcase with traditional dances, a fashion show, masquerades, poetry readings, and singing. Prominent Igbo communities and villages/towns will highlight their contributions to the Chicagoland area and Nigeria, celebrating their cultural pride. This event offers a unique opportunity to experience the vibrant Igbo heritage with a diverse audience. There will be food and drinks to go around for everyone.

For UIU Chicago members attending this event, we ask that you wear your UIU t-shirt and a navy or Khaki colored pair of bottoms. If you have a plain George, please bring this with you.

Please note that IAC will be providing free food and drinks to everyone attending the event (while supplies last). However, UIU Chicago will be providing a separate set of food for UIU Chicago and UIU Cincinnati members.

The official Igbo Fest afterparty for UIU Chicago is happening at Le Nocturne, hosted by Afro Fusion. This is not just any party; it's also a fundraiser for UIU Chicago. So, grab your tickets now using this link, and make sure to tell all your friends. We can't wait to see you there and appreciate all your support!
