Vijen is an entrepreneur and investor in Chicago.
He founded and leads The 81 Collection, a Founders Fund for hard industries, alongside other founders who built successfully in hard industries. The fund debuted at $41 Million last year.
Prior, Vijen co-founded and was CEO of Pressbox. Pressbox placed proprietary lockers conveniently to serve as a 24/7 dry cleaner and laundromat. By July 2018, Pressbox grew to 1,400 locations, 150 employees, and ten cities. The company was featured in the WSJ, USA Today, Crain’s, Chicago Tribune, and other publications.
Pressbox was sold to Procter & Gamble in July 2018. Vijen was retained as the organization's CEO under the new brand Tide Cleaners. Tide Cleaners now has more than 2,000 locations across 20 cities.
