Event Details

Founded in 2015 by Meme Styles, Measure is a research and data activism organization committed to elevating lived experience and the numbers to drive equitable change. Today, Measure is proudly led by an all-Black female team dedicated to our mission and creating spaces where data can be translated into a language accessible to all.

Through our advanced data-driven approaches and community-led anti-racist evaluation tools, we ensure that lived experience data is used by communities and institutions to design and implement equitable solutions to address social disparities.

By disrupting traditional research methods, our services give Black, Brown, and Indigenous organizations an advantage in advocating for their causes and obtaining the resources necessary to keep their work alive.

Measure has established operations in Austin, Dallas, and Houston, reflecting a strategic expansion to address inequities across Texas.

In addition to being pampered with sips and treats, we will pay homage to the legacy of Ida B. Wells in honor of International Women's Day. She led the anti-lynching crusade in the United States in the 1890s by counting and tracking the Black lives that were brutally taken across the South. Just as Ida B. Wells meticulously documented the atrocities of her time, we continue her legacy by arming our community with the power of research.

We aim to inspire inclusion and empower you to become a volunteer and/or researcher to further Measure's mission and increase brand awareness in the Houston community.

We can't wait to connect with you.
