Event Summary
Celebrating Kwanzaa is an important way to honor African heritage and culture. Kwanzaa is a week-long holiday that celebrates the African-American culture and its seven core principles. These principles include Umoja (unity), Kujichagulia (self-determination), Ujima (collective work and responsibility), Ujamaa (cooperative economics), Nia (purpose), Kuumba (creativity), and Imani (faith). Celebrating Kwanzaa is a meaningful way to bring members of the African-American community together to recognize the importance of their culture and to celebrate the achievements of African-Americans. Kwanzaa also presents an opportunity to reflect on the shared values, traditions, and beliefs of the African-American community. By celebrating Kwanzaa, we can honor the rich history and culture of African-Americans, and build a stronger and more unified community.
Have fun!
