Event Details

The Greenwood GOLF Minority Club League is more than just an event; it's a movement. It's a step towards making golf accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their background or experience level. As we move forward, we are excited to continue hosting events that celebrate diversity, promote skill development, and nurture a strong sense of community.

The League is a reflection of our commitment to uniting people through the love of golf, and we can't wait to see what the future holds.

The League offers minority golf clubs to compete for the title of "Queen City Minority Club Champion". 

Golf Clubs wishing to participate will register for the inaugural 2024 season. Individuals wishing to participate must contact a minority golf club to join.

The 2024 season will consist of the following:
4 Matches Ryder Cup Format,
6 Networking Events,
Cash Prizes to the winning teams,
Long Drive and Closets to the PIN Contest,
Sponsorship Opportunities Available

General Terms

Greenwood GOLF Charities: General Terms for Participating in the Minority Club League

By participating in the Greenwood GOLF Charities Minority Club League, clubs and players agree to abide by the following general terms and conditions:

1. League Eligibility:

Participation is open to golf enthusiasts from all backgrounds and skill levels that actively participate in a golf club that primarily serves minority golfers. Clubs must be registered and approved by Greenwood GOLF Charities to participate in the league.

2. League Structure:

The league will consist of a limited number of registered clubs, with each club allowed a specific number of players as determined by the league guidelines. Participating clubs must register prior to December 31 for participation in the upcoming season. Clubs joining after January 1 will be put on the wait list for next season.

3. League Rules and Regulations:

Clubs and players are required to adhere to the league rules and regulations provided by Greenwood GOLF Charities. These rules will be communicated prior to the start of the league and may cover aspects such as scoring, match format, and conduct.

4. Sportsmanship and Conduct:

All participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship and respect towards fellow players, officials, and the spirit of the game. Unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated and may result in penalties for the club or disqualification of the club and player.

5. League Schedule:

The league schedule, including match dates and venues, will be provided in advance. Clubs are expected to adhere to the schedule and ensure timely participation.

6. Communication:

Clubs and players are required to maintain clear and consistent communication with Greenwood GOLF Charities regarding league-related matters.

7. Photo and Video Release:

Participants consent to the use of their likeness, photographs, and videos taken during league events for promotional and marketing purposes by Greenwood GOLF Charities.

8. Changes and Cancellations:

Greenwood GOLF Charities reserves the right to modify league details, including schedule and format, if necessary. In case of cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, registered clubs will be promptly notified.

9. Liability Waiver:

Participation in the Minority Club League involves physical activity. All participants assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages that may arise during league events.

10. Compliance with Local Regulations:

Clubs and players are responsible for complying with any local regulations, including those related to COVID-19 safety measures.

By participating in the Greenwood GOLF Charities Minority Club League, clubs and players acknowledge their understanding and agreement to these general terms. These terms are subject to change, and any updates will be communicated to registered participants in a timely manner.

Refund Policy
There is no initial costs to participate.
Cancellation Policy

Greenwood GOLF Charities - Minority Club League Cancellation Policy

We, at Greenwood GOLF Charities, are committed to fostering a vibrant and inclusive golfing community through the Minority Club League. As part of this commitment, we have established a cancellation policy to ensure the integrity and fairness of the league.

The cancellation policy is designed to ensure the commitment of participating clubs to the league, thereby maintaining the fairness of competition and the integrity of the league structure. We believe that upholding this policy will not only enhance the league experience but also contribute to the growth of a strong and united golfing community.

Participating clubs are encouraged to carefully consider their commitment to the Minority Club League before registering, as withdrawal from the league will result in the outlined consequences.

Policy Details:

  • Season Participation Commitment: Participating clubs are expected to commit to the entire season of the Minority Club League, which includes all scheduled events and matches.
  • Withdrawal Consequences: In the event that a club wishes to withdraw from the league after confirming participation, they will be subject to the following consequences:
  • Forfeiture of Points: The withdrawing club will forfeit all points earned in the league up to that point in time.
  • Forfeiture of Monies: Any league-related earnings due to the club will be forfeited. Any payments made by the withdrawing club will not be refunded.
  • Two-Year Ban: The withdrawing club will be ineligible to participate in the Minority Club League for a period of two years from the date of withdrawal.
  • Extenuating Circumstances: In cases of extenuating circumstances, such as unforeseen events or emergencies, the club may appeal to Greenwood GOLF Charities for reconsideration of the consequences. Decisions in such cases will be made on a case-by-case basis.
Age Restriction

At Greenwood GOLF Charities, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all players, regardless of their background, skill level, gender, or age. Our league is open to any player who shares our passion for the game and our values of unity and community that actively participates in a golf club that primarily serves minority golfers.

There is no specific age restriction for participating in our league. We believe that golf is a sport that transcends generations, bringing people of all ages together on the course. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just starting out, you are welcome to participate in our league and become a part of our golfing community.

We celebrate the diversity that each individual brings to the game, and we believe that every player has a unique contribution to make. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone can enjoy the game of golf, make new friends, and share in the joy of playing together.
