Join us on Saturday, June 29, 2024 - the official "Loc Appreciation Day," in Brooklyn NY, as we celebrate the beauty and culture of locs and give men with locs the flowers they deserve! This will be an inclusive event; all hair types are welcome.

LOCnificent Fest was established in Brooklyn, NY in 2018. We create energetic and exciting events that showcase and celebrate the cultural beauty and abundance of locs and natural hair. Our primary purpose is to bring together people of diverse backgrounds and shared values and dispel misconceptions related to loc'd, natural and textured hair. More specifically, we curate an annual event every September/October, called LOCnificent Fest, that features a natural hair show, live hair styling and demonstrations, vendors, and several live cultural performances.
Men with Locs is a lifestyle and cultural social media platform and blog that celebrates beautiful men with beautiful locs, and loc culture. The platform highlights loc'd men, as individuals, and documents their loc journey by way of photography, vidoes, dialogue, and more. Men with Locs was established by two Philadelphia, PA based sisters with locs, in 2014.

Do I have to have locs to attend this day party? No, you do not. All hair types are welcome.
Is this a singles party? No. Singles and couples and everything in between are welcome. This is day party to show love to men with locs. Yet, if you get a number or two, great!
I would like to be a vendor or sponsor at LOVE HIS LOCS. This event will not feature vendors. However, if you are interested in being a sponsor and getting your brand, product or services noticed by our attendees, please email us at [email protected] and [email protected] for sponsorship information.
I am traveling from out-of-town. Are there any hotels nearby? Brooklyn has a lot of hotel options. There are nearly a dozen hotels within 1.5 miles from the venue, most of which are in downtown Brooklyn. Check out Trip Advisor - The 10 Closet Hotels to Grand Army Plaza or Booking.com for viable hotel and non-hotel options.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? You must be 21 or older to attend and must show ID.
What is the refund policy for LOVE HIS LOCS? We understand that plans can change, but please note that all ticket sales are final. We are unable to offer refunds.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else if I am unable to attend? Yes, you can transfer your ticket. Please email us at [email protected] with the full name and email address of the new attendee at least 3 days before the event. Remember, each ticket is valid for one person and can only be transferred once. Additionally, a Free RSVP ticket is reserved for men who have locs only.
Can I bring outside food or drinks to the venue? No outside food or drinks are permitted. The venue has a full food and drink menu, including a brunch menu.
Will there be parking available? Limited street parking is available but not guaranteed. We suggest using public transportation (2, 3, B, Q are the closest trains) or ride-sharing services for convenience.
Is the venue handicap accessible? Yes, it is.
