A peaceful and poetic open-mic social-mixer to support SHE IS HOPE LA as the organization helps single mother's who have been devastated by the LA Wildfires.  Guests will enjoy the taste of good food with friends and family with good music hosted by Father and Son...POETRY PEACE & PIZZA @VEESCAFE

WE WILL BE COLLECTING SOCKS, HYGIENE KITS AND OTHER SUITABLE ITEMS TO BE DONATED AND TO BENEFIT SHE IS HOPE LA DOT ORG WHO IS SUPPORTING SINGLE MOTHER'S WHO HAVE BEEN DEVESTATED  BY THE LA WILDFIRES. ONLINE DONATIONS ARE ALWAYS ACCEPTED VIA THE WEBSITE.

Poetry empowered kweisi, the poet to write, meet and forgive his younger brother, Lemont's killers. Lemont sacrificed his life to save his friend, Kim's life. Poerty saved kweisi's life. Through poetry as it connects him and his son. kweisi is seeking to be a better father to his son despite being in Chicago. kweisi's son's poetry helps him process and deal with his life challenges, adversities and to express good times.  Watch kweisi's son in the GETLIT POET'S documentary, BEYOND WORDS: VERSES OF CHANGE on PBS:
