Join us for the Ugly Sweater Kwanzaa Crawl on Saturday, December 14th, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.! Kick off with brunch at VU Rooftop Bar from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., located 22 stories high next to McCormick Place. Come dressed in your best Kwanzaa or Ugly Sweater attire—there’s a big prize for the best-dressed!
Enjoy music by top DJs, delicious cultural cuisine (like jerk chicken and jollof rice), and Black-owned spirits such as Uncle Nearest, Moors Beer, Funky Town Beer, Duo Vodka, and more! Each venue will celebrate a different Kwanzaa principle with a unique music genre (from ’90s R&B to hip-hop to afrobeats). VIP ticket holders also get a complimentary cocktail (1) at VU between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.. Jolaf rice at hue, as well as complimentary jentry to the after party!
We’re celebrating the seven principles of Kwanzaa: Umoja (Unity), Kujichagulia (Self-Determination), Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility), Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics), Nia (Purpose), Kuumba (Creativity), and Imani (Faith). Don’t miss this incredible event!
