Join the UIU Book Club for a special in-person gathering as we conclude our discussion of Efuru in honor of Women’s History Month! This event is open to current and interested book club members.

Typically held online, this session offers a unique opportunity to connect in person and dive into the final chapters of Efuru—the first internationally published English-language novel by a Nigerian woman, the renowned Flora Nwapa.

Don’t miss this chance to celebrate literature, culture, and the powerful storytelling of Igbo authors. See you there!

Please arrive on time at 2:30pm!

The location is in Bronzeville, and the exact address will be sent upon RSVP.

Small chops will be provided.

A remote Zoom option will be available for those unable to attend in person or for members from other chapters who are not local.
