For generations, Igbo women have carried the weight of resilience- often at the cost of our well-being. The myth of "The Strong Black Woman" tells us to endure in silence & constantly carry the weight of our communities almost at the expense of ourselves. Join UIU DMV in this special members only Umuada workshop on Monday May 12th, 2025 for Mental Health Awareness Month, led by PhD candidate, Vanessa Anyanso. As we move through what it means to be strong, we'll also explore ways we can remember to be resilient by caring for ourselves FIRST & finding soft places to land and rest.

This is a MEMBERS ONLY Umuada event. Membership will be verified.
