Join us on Tuesdays for a weekly West African Dance class with rotating teaching artists Maila Sylla, Brittany Walker, Zenzile Fatou and Idy Ciss. All levels are welcome, and programming is FREE and open to the public!
This FREE, dynamic, high-energy West African Dance class allows participants to explore the rich legacy of traditional West African dance from Senegal, Guinea, Mali, and Côte d’Ivoire. The class also includes live drumming, which is an intergalactic part to the West African dance environment. All ages are levels are welcome!
We have four dynamic teachers this session:
February 4 - February 18 with Maila Sylla
February 25 - March 11 with Brittany Walker
March 18 - April 1 with Zenzile Fatou
April 8 with Idy Ciss
We hope to see you every Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:00 pm starting February 4th and ending April 8th.
